During the Summer Picnic 2019 (28th July 2019), NYATS had setup a collection bin to collect “School supplies for needy children” to be donated to Capital City Rescue Mission, Albany NY. Several of you brought the school supplies and dropped in the collection box. Thanks a lot!

Altogether NYATS collected $325 worth of School Supplies as part of Capital City Rescue Mission’s School Supplies drive. Thanks to everyone who donated for this good cause during the NYATS Summer Picnic (28th Jul 2019) and later on 10th Aug 2019.

All collected school supplies were delivered by our NYATS Members on August 10th 2019 to Capital City Rescue Mission, Albany for their annual Backpack Party giveaway.

They were in need of the following items and we delivered almost all of them.

• Pens/Pencils
• Pencil sharpeners
• Pencil cases
• Crayons/Colored pencils
• Highlighters
• Markers
• Glue sticks/bottles
• Loose-leaf paper (wide-ruled)
• 3-ring binders(1-inch)
• Notebooks (composition & spiral)
• Pocket folders
• Erasers (all types)
• Scissors (round-tipped)
• Rulers
