NYATS 2024-26 ELECTIONS
Dear NYATS Member,
Vanakkam. Hope you are doing well and looking forward to Spring, officially a few weeks away. As our current New York Albany Tamil Sangam (NYATS) committee’s term ends by April 2024, we have initiated the process for electing the new NYATS Committee for the upcoming two-year term from 2024 to 2026. The first step in this process is to invite nominations.
We are very pleased to participate in electing a New Committee of 15 members of NYATS for the upcoming two-year term from 2024 to 2026.
We would like to invite the nominations for the NYATS 2024-2026 Committee. Members are invited to nominate themselves for this committee.
Eligibility to contest
In order to contest in the election for the 15-member committee, the contestant must be an NYATS member (either a family member or an individual member) for the year 2024. Kindly check the link below for status of your membership and renew your membership.
Your application for nomination has to be submitted online and can include an optional summary of your contributions to NYATS or any other volunteer activities or services rendered for consideration in the election.
Please follow the instructions on the attached election information for the respective dates and do the needful by the specified dates.
We look forward to your continued support in selecting the new team for our Sangam.

Deadline for membership renewals and any updates to contact details – March 1st 2024
Accept nominations for open positions –
February 17th – March 1st, 2024
Withdrawal period –
March 2nd – March 4th, 2024
Announce Slate of Candidates –
March 6 – 7th, 2024
If needed, Election/Voting period for 48 hours –
March 9th -March 10th, 2024
Results Declared by Election committee – March 11th 2024

Dear Members,
As the term of the New York Albany Tamil Sangam (NYATS) committee for 2022-2024 approaches its conclusion in April 2024, the Board of Directors (BOD) and current executive committee are commencing the selection process for the upcoming two-year term (2024-2026). The initial step in this process is to establish an election committee.
The election committee comprises of

2. Mr. Ganesh Vaidyanathan
3. Mr. Chandrasekar Theagarajan
